When my son first stacked the nine blocks and flipped the switch, the color-changing flashes had him grinning like crazy. Nice that the LED blocks work in any direction — no frustrating fiddling to get the connection right.

My 6-year-old figured out the color-changing blocks on her own within ten minutes, and now the tower lives on our kitchen counter. Nine pieces is just enough to keep it simple, though I kind of wish there were a few extras.

The blocks snap together in any direction, so my kid kept rebuilding the tower into weird shapes and it still lit up every time. The color-changing LEDs got old fast for me but not for him. Nine pieces is just enough to keep it simple without a mess.
